"Your Hand in Mine"- Explosions in the sky

PLEASE READ:

Ethan: Music video I made as part of my AS Level Media coursework. This is my own interpretation of the piece.

The «Shakey» camera in this video is for effect, and this video was edited using Windows Movie Maker. Had a better program been available to me at the time, i would have used it.

*I had not seen the Bob Dylan video prior to making this video and the use of signs is simply a coincidence I’m afraid.

Many Thanks and Enjoy 🙂

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (read after watching video)

1. Beard/no beard? Robin, who plays the main character was only available for a day’s shooting, so I had to stand in for the beginning and end.

2. Is she really dead? Thankfully, this is a work of fiction, and Elisabeth is very much alive 🙂

3.Where was it filmed? Wherever your heart desires 😉

  • Time is the hero and the villain. The destroyer and the builder The father of hope and the mother of despair Giving us years and taking away the seconds Lending us the moments and letting the minutes Run out like the sand in a tiny hour glass Destroying us with what we cannot see As we spend the precious substance as if Tomorrow will never come Finally we will all say, just one more One more hour to love One more moment to see To hear those “Explosions in the Sky”

Explosions in the Sky is an American post-rock band from Texas. The band has garnered popularity beyond the post-rock scene for their elaborately developed guitar work, narratively styled instrumentals, what they refer to as «cathartic mini-symphonies,» and their enthusiastic and emotional live shows.[1] They primarily play with three electric quitars and a drum, although band member Michael James will at times exchange his electric guitar for a bass quitqr.[2] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Explosions_in_the_Sky)

«Those Who Tell the Truth Shall Die, Those Who Tell the Truth Shall Live Forever»
    Released: September 4, 2001

The band also garnered a small amount of media attention as the liner notes of this album contained a picture of an airplane and the text «This Plane Will Crash Tomorrow». A rumor circulated that the album was released on September 10, 2001, the day before the September 11, 2001 attacks, but this is untrue. According to Amazon.com, the album was officially released September 4, 2001, exactly one week before the attacks. An interview with Stylus Magazine claims the album was available as early as August 24, 2001. Members of the band told Stylus that they had the artwork and idea for the liner notes for over a year before the attacks on the World Trade Center.
